In 2018, Frédéric Birault, a hairdresser with over 20 years' experience (aka "the hair guru"), launched the brand CUT BY FRED. He committed to offering EXPERT CLEAN hair care products that combine NATURAL EFFICIENCY and SENSORIALITY, to unveil ALL HAIR TYPES!

All our hair care products are developed with a high level of demand, inspired by Fred's hairdressing expertise and his desire to bring meaning back to the expert hair care market.

2 years. That's the time for research and development to release a product that meets our 1000% requirement. A truly effective product that meets a strict formulation charter: at least 97% natural origin ingredients, vegan, with creamy textures, 100% natural addictive fragrances and without any controversial ingredient.

AN ECO-RESPONSIBILITY THAT MAKES SENSE
Good for Humans, but especially for the planet, all our hair care products are designed to be sustainable. While some of our formulas are even biodegradable in the ocean, our cases are compostable. Our packaging is made of glass, or plant-based plastic, or even 100% single-material and 100% recyclable plastic. Oh yes, and all our products are made in France of course!
THIS IS NOT A COMB!
Well, ok it is ^^ but it's mainly a virtuous example, or even, an eco-responsible beauty ;) Each piece is unique, manufactured, no not manufactured... but 100% UPCYCLED from plastics picked up on the beach in Brittany. It is 100% made in France (like all our products by the way) and contributes to the decontamination of the environment and beaches. It would have cost us less to have it made on the other side of the planet but we don't care! It MAKES SENSE.

“Hi, it's Fred, a hairdresser for over 20 years (oh lala, that doesn't make us any younger), I created CUT BY FRED with my super team. Every day we ask ourselves what meaningful contribution we can make in the history of hair and the cosmetic industry. And that's how CUT BY FRED was born. A range that grows day by day according to my desires, and my demands.
A vegan range, IRREPROACHABLE formulas (it shows that it’s possible when one wants), fun products, simple to use, and pretty in the bathroom. Good basics to have, nothing superfluous.
Every day, we strive to make increasingly eco-friendly packs, in their material and we evolve, we search, we innovate. We have switched to glass for some products, others will be totally compostable, crazy right? Many are or will be rechargeable.
We take risks doing all this, it’s much cheaper to use good old oil plastic and elongated formulas full of not-so-great ingredients to have an even larger margin. But we don’t care! It makes sense! And it fills us with joy to participate in changing things and consumption patterns!
